Good evening PS 186 Families -
We hope you enjoyed your weekend!
Tomorrow marks our 120th Day os school! With only 60 days of school left, there is so much to do and we need our families involved every step of the way! Attendance is crucial! We need our students in school, on time, in order to keep up and not fall behind. Our Grade 3-5 students will be taking their NYS ELA and Math Exams in just one month.
Students should be logging on to their i-Ready 'My Path' to complete 40 minutes a week from home. We will be checking their usage and checking their work each week. Since the 'My Path' is on their level, they should be able to answer the questions correctly at the end of each assignment. Please tell your children to take their time and do their best. Studies have shown that having students complete 40 minutes a week on i-ready can help students show growth! And of course, this goes for all students in K-5.
All Morning Math programs and after school reading, math, and science programs will be in session. Please make sure your children report to these programs if they are signed up! We need them there to support their learning!
The last day of marking period #2 is Thursday, March 27th. Students will have 70 days of work and exams that will be included in this marking period. Report cards will be sent home on April 8th. Please review them carefully and reach out with any questions. Summer Rising applications will close on Friday, March 28th.
This is the last week that many of our students will be fasting. There is no school on Monday, March 31st for Eid al-Fitr.
We would like to wish Happy Eid to all of our celebrating families. Thank you! Have a great night!
